Where it is located

The resort has a favorable location. It is part of the Turkish Riviera in Antalya Province – a section of the coastline with numerous infrastructure facilities that ensure comfortable vacation conditions for tourists. From Antalya to Kemer it is 42 km in a southwesterly direction. The town is located in a picturesque area, surrounded by the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean coast. It is framed by lush greenery of pine groves and surrounded by monuments of ancient culture.

When it’s best to go

The peak tourist season falls in July and August. In the summer months, air temperatures reach 32°C, and the water in the Mediterranean warms up to 29°C. As early as May, hundreds of thousands of tourists flock to Turkey to bask in the sun and warm sea waves, get a dose of positive emotions and enjoy water sports. By November, with the end of the velvet season, resort activity declines and package prices at hotels are significantly reduced. November–April is an excellent time for budget travelers.

What to do

The leisure program in Kemer largely depends on the character and age of the holidaymaker. The city’s tourism industry is based on infrastructure for young, active travelers. There are many discos, bars and entertainment complexes organizing fun, lively programs.

At the same time, in Kemer and its surroundings there are many ancient monuments and unique natural areas that will interest lovers of hiking and parks, where you can get acquainted with unique representatives of the local flora and fauna.

There are many interesting areas for children’s recreation. Young travelers will enjoy the dolphinarium and will be delighted with the Dinopark and water parks.

The places with the highest concentration of tourists are the local beaches. They are pebble with a convenient entrance to the water. If a tourist stays at a hotel without its own designated beach area, there are free municipal beaches at their disposal. There is no extra charge for sun loungers, umbrellas or changing cabins – the city prefecture offers foreigners free swimming and sunbathing both on the «Moonlight» beach and on the Central beach.

Main attractions of Kemer

  • Atatürk Boulevard
A monument to the reformer Mustafa Kemal is installed in the center of Kemer’s main street. Each of the three sectors of the avenue is intended for specific purposes. The first is lined with five-star hotels, the second is an excellent place for walking, and the third is for shopping (numerous souvenir shops, a market, restaurants).

  • «Moonlight» Park with Dolphinarium
Every day, the park is visited by tourists with children who enthusiastically watch the dolphin shows. Photography and swimming with the animals are available (for an extra fee). The park has many attractions, shops and nightclubs, a playground and other entertainment.

A park with a picturesque landscape. Tourists can go for a hike on foot or take an exciting route in wetsuits and special footwear, crossing the river by swimming and overcoming other obstacles.
